Madam Tussauds attractions prioritize the safety of their visitors and staff. In order to maintain security, we have developed our procedures at our international locations together with the police and security services over several years, and we continuously review them.

The security procedures we use are as follows:

Security checks

We use a number of security measures to protect our guests and employees.

Bag and personal belongings check

In order to make your visit as safe and enjoyable as possible, we may implement enhanced security checks. This includes a check of luggage and personal belongings, which we can carry out prior to entry if necessary. Bags and other belongings may be searched before entry. None of the prohibited items listed below may enter the Madame Tussauds Budapest building.

During checks, our security staff may ask you to take all items out of your pockets and place them in the provided trays. They are then reviewed by a member of the team. In some cases, additional security measures may be required, such as the use of metal detectors.

Prohibited items

Below we provide guidance on what cannot be brought into Madame Tussauds Budapest. Please note that this list is not complete and may change.

  • All items classified as weapons

What else do we do for your safety?

We monitor what happens in the building 24 hours a day with security cameras, and our dedicated staff do everything to ensure that all our guests have a safe and enjoyable time with us. We pride ourselves on working closely with local police and security services to ensure our procedures are up-to-date and follow best practice.

Of course, our team responsible for security is in regular contact with special government security agencies, who provide regular briefings and training to our employees.

Help us to be able to help

We ask our guests to remain vigilant, alert our staff or a member of our security team in any suspicious situation and take care of the security of their belongings.
